Labor and professional services
Standard marine engineering and field service labor is billed at $175.00 per hour. A minimum charge of two hours applies to each service attendance or call-out.
Billable time includes reasonable job preparation, review of drawings, manuals, and technical documentation, troubleshooting, work performed onboard or at the job site, and preparation of service reports, findings, and technical recommendations.
Overtime labor, including work performed beyond eight hours in a working day or outside normal working hours, is billed at $260.00 per hour.
Weekend work is billed at the applicable overtime rate. Work performed on recognized holidays is billed at $350.00 per hour.
Travel time is billed at $150.00 per hour, in addition to reasonable and necessary travel expenses, including transportation, airfare, mileage, lodging, parking, tolls, and other job-related expenses where applicable.
For long-distance, offshore, international, or extended assignments, separate mobilization and demobilization terms may be quoted and agreed upon in advance.
Remote technical consulting, diagnostics, and troubleshooting by telephone, email, messaging, video conference, or other electronic communication are billed at $185.00 per hour.
A minimum charge of one hour applies once technical consulting or troubleshooting begins. Additional time is billed in thirty-minute increments.
An initial discussion of up to approximately 10 to 15 minutes may be provided without charge solely to establish the nature and scope of the problem. Once review of technical information, diagnosis, troubleshooting, technical analysis, instructions, or recommendations begins, time becomes billable.
Time required for preparation of service reports, technical findings, repair recommendations, supporting documentation, and other professional deliverables related to the assignment is considered part of the professional service and is billable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Services including, but not limited to, Owner’s Representative services, condition assessments, damage investigations, repair supervision, technical inspections, bunker surveys, SMS/ISM support, class and regulatory survey preparation, and other specialized marine engineering assignments may be quoted separately based on the scope, complexity, location, and duration of the work.
For extended projects, recurring assignments, or established clients, alternative commercial terms may be agreed upon in writing.
Spare parts
Whenever reasonably available and appropriate for the equipment being serviced, repairs shall be performed using genuine OEM parts or properly certified and traceable replacement parts meeting the applicable manufacturer, classification society, or regulatory requirements.
Where parts or materials are supplied by the Client, the Client is responsible for providing adequate documentation confirming their origin, specification, condition, and suitability for the intended application.
If the Client requests the installation or use of non-genuine, uncertified, non-traceable, used, reconditioned, or otherwise unverified parts or materials, the Company reserves the right to decline their installation.
Where the Company agrees to proceed with such parts at the Client’s request, the condition shall be documented in a Waiver Report or equivalent record identifying the relevant parts and associated technical risks. By authorizing the work to proceed, the Client acknowledges and accepts those risks.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be responsible for failures, damage, loss of performance, consequential damage, or additional repair costs to the extent caused by or attributable to Client-supplied non-genuine, uncertified, non-traceable, or otherwise unverified parts or materials. This limitation does not relieve the Company of responsibility for the proper workmanship of the services actually performed.
